Bring On The Silly Season

The Fedex Cup thing is over - or was it over before it started?  The President's Cup, despite Harding Park, lasted too long. The Fall Series has fallen flat. Neither Rickie Fowler nor Jamie Lovemark is all that. And you can take the Atunyotes, the TPC Summerlins and the Grayhawks and add them to the growing heap of boring courses.  The European Tour has the Race to Dubai; the US PGA Tour has the Race to Boredom.

So bring on the 3 Tour Challenge, the Shark Shootout, the Skills Challenge. Sure, the competitions are bogus, the venues are artificial and the prize money is obscene.  But at least the pretense will be gone.
