11 September

I was working in Charlottesville, delivering furniture. It was a perfect morning there also. For a while.

Eight years is a long time. Lives begin and end, and sometimes begin anew. The world changes. Some things can never be forgotten, but anything may be ignored. Yet the past is always with us, and its pains, as well as its pleasure, are always true. We ignore it at our peril.
